Simple Profession


On March 19th, a significant milestone was reached at Carmel Ashram, Kalady, as three brothers completed their canonical novitiate and made their first religious profession. Among them were Bro. Rohit Kujur of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Bro. Klement Topno of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, and Bro. Xavier Kizhakkanedath of Holy Cross. The entire Order of Discalced Carmelites, Malabar Province, rejoiced profoundly at this occasion, witnessing the continued growth of their community.

In a solemn Holy Eucharistic ceremony presided over by Rev. Fr Peter Chakiath OCD, Provincial of the Malabar Province, the profession of these brothers was formally received. Following the reverent proceedings, an agape was held to celebrate and honor the newly professed brothers, allowing the community to share in the joy of this auspicious day. The event marked not only the dedication of these individuals but also the ongoing vitality of the Carmelite community.

As the vineyard of Carmel continues to flourish with each passing day, the occasion served as a testament to the commitment and spiritual journey of those within the Order.
