A Two Day Seminar for the study and reflection on our Charism and Constitutions was held in our Province, organizing it in four different places for the convenience of our Friars.
• September 12 and 13 in Nirjhari at Bangalore
• September 17 and 18 in Mt. Carmel Provincial House, Trivandrum
• September 20 and 21 in Mt. Carmel Provincial House, Trivandrum
• September 23 and 24 in Ranchi
A total number of 116 friars participated in the short term programme and we were all reminded of the charism that we have to live. Our resource persons were, Fr Benjamin Elias OCD, who led the session titled ‘Carmelite Charism as enshrined in our Constitution’, Fr Mathew Kulathinal OCD, who dealt with ‘ The Dimension of Carmelite Formation’, Fr Mathew Vadakkedath OCD, who spoke about ‘ Governance of Our Order visualised on our Constitution & Norms’ and Fr George Vettikkuzhiyil, who dealt with ‘Provincial Administration According to our Constitutions’.
It was an opportunity to renew ourselves in order to pursue our Carmelite way of life fruitfully. It also served as a forum for fraternal sharing and conversations, as well as a fantastic opportunity to reenergise ourselves in order to fully live our Carmelite lives
